As I go deeper into treatment, some things are better, some worse. Here are a few praises: my potassium level has come up, so that's one less med to take! Yay! I had an appointment with my therapist that helped me get over a hurdle about taking new meds. I am sleeping better- not as well as I wish, but a vast improvement over what had been occurring! I feel so much better today than yesterday. Here a few prayer requests: I get a bad headache with each round that makes me want to keep my eyes closed all the time. I still have IBS and it is exacerbated by the chemo- no bueno. Wednesday after my infusion is the rock bottom day. This is the day when my mind wanders down the dark side alley of my emotions. I despise the pump I have to bring home. The whirring noise when it pumps reminds me of what is happening and impedes rest and peace.
I have looked at the fundraiser page my LKN Nifflers set up for the trip to Universal. I want to thank everyone who has donated! If you donated anonymously, I can't see your name, but please know that I am so appreciative! Also, those who have gifted me with GrubHub, DoorDash, gift cards, cash, flowers, and written cards, your donations have been much appreciated, as well. Mostly, I am overwhelmed and humbled by all of you who take the time to read these updates and pray for me and my family. I don't know all of you personally, but we are all connected, and that realization has really hit home with me when I hear about friends with whom I've lost touch, friends of my family and friends, prayer chains in churches and neighborhoods, and international friends around the globe who are lifting us up to God. Or maybe, lowering us on our mat through the roof to Jesus! God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good. I thank God for you all!
