Lots going on and my brain can't keep up. I had the radiation for the small lesions in my brain with no side effects. My leg continues worsen and now my other leg hurts, too. The radiation oncologist and my regular oncologist think that the lesion in my hip may be active after all. So I will have radiation there starting Wednesday, running through next Tuesday. Dr. McGinnis believes I should feel better by the time I finish treatment. I hope so. I miss my walks around the neighborhood and in the nature preserves. My PT has been backed down to just stretches until the therapist talks with the oncologist about when I should resume. I am also taking the week off from my exercise class. Why go when I can barely even walk in the building? If I am better next week as expected, I will go then. Tomorrow I have my infusion and a dentist appointment. Class was just too much.
Saturday was WONDERFUL!! I spent time at a farm in cool air with good friends and tasty food. Best of all, my leg felt fine for most of the day!! Sunday was AMAZING, too. Not for my legs; they were bothering me quite a lot. But Mosaic Church did another outdoor service for Memorial Day Weekend, followed by a cookout. I went to church, in person. Then I met a lovely lady named Priscilla. Jim had met her husband, so we all introduced ourselves. Her husband had told her about me (another blessing) and she let me know that they were praying for me. We chatted until her husband came with the kids and the food. Then she returned to me for a moment to introduce me to Dee. Dee sat with me and listened to my story, but that's not all. Not once, but TWICE during our conversation she spontaneously began praying over me! I have been told so many times that I am being prayed for- I absolutely appreciate this and I don't take it for granted. I know that their are people both nationally and internationally who are lifting me up. This is the first time, though, that I have been prayed over, right then and there! I almost bailed because I had slept so poorly and the pain. But God has been so faithful to me, the very least I could do was attend a service in person when given the chance. I wanted to meet some new people and I did! I also chatted with Pastor Kristin and Pastor Ashley. Whatever we give to God, He can use!! I was mightily blessed by all these ladies, and I hope they were, too.
Speaking of which, the first batch of dollies are done and packed in a box. I even received a check to cover my expenses for making the dollies from Dad B(iological). Apparently, Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital doesn't take donations of medical dolls. I thought they would because they are part of Atrium, but I guess it isn't the system, it's the individual hospital that decides. That's ok, I'll just make more for Atrium Main. Their donation sheet said they are always in need. I am going to take a couple of weeks break to do some household mending (Sasha is a chewing dog) and maybe another superhero doll. Hoping for a quiet summer with friend visits!
