I had my scans yesterday, back to back CT scan and MRI. The results came back by the afternoon. CT still looks the same, which means I am still stable. The MRI showed that the radiation I had shrank the 4mm lesion to 2mm, and the 2mm lesion is unchanged. Not terrible, since there was shrinkage in the largest one. Disappointed that the radiation didn't knock them both out, though. Now I will likely have to have another radiation treatment, maybe two, then another MRI. That's expensive, so I may have to reconsider the Irinotecan that I am DESPERATE to avoid. Ms. Controlling Personality is not thrilled about that or continued high transmission of Covid with no more mitigation. I have, thus far, avoided both Covid and complete lockdown, but they both loom large. Papa God provides better guidance than the CDC, but sometimes His method of delivery is just as unclear. I'm not telling you anything I haven't discussed with Him, that is the frustration talking.
I don't like being talked at. I have a difficult time with sermons (though some are immensely engaging), lecture classes in college, talk radio, and long internet videos. I've never been all that interested in podcasts, for that reason. Mosaic started a podcast called Becoming Church (you should check it out!) It's been really good, covering a large range of topics. They had an interview with someone from the Bible Binge Podcast, and I began following on Instagram. Finally, I listened to a couple of podcasts. They were great!! They even "cast" the story with modern actors. If you are a podcast person, this is a good one to check out. Here is their description:
What if you could listen to a recap of the Bible like a recap of your favorite TV show?
Welcome to The Bible Binge podcast where we take both the familiar and obscure stories found in scripture, and with equal parts humor and insight, walk you through the faith journeys of these Biblical figures. And in case that makes you nervous, we're joined by our Resident Bible Scholar who checks us for inadvertent sacrilege.
Also, there are a few angles they work from:
Classics, Faith Adjacent, Favored or Forsaken, Stuff We Didn't Get in Sunday School, and Sacred Cinema (right now all about the MCU)
