Didn't lose days during infusion week this time. Not much to say about that, but I finally saw the musculoskeletal oncologist. Good news, not as good news. Good news is that he believes, like my regular oncologist, that the lesion in my hip socket is treated. Also, he doesn't think I am at a big risk for fractures. Those are both are great things. The not as good news is that the pain is likely coming from the cancer, in that it has worn down the cartilage in the socket. He says my symptoms are nearly textbook for arthritis. So he diagnosed me with secondary arthritis, which means it comes from a different source than regular arthritis. The best treatment is the physical therapy. The only other options are a steroid shot, which would be considered if the physical therapy doesn't help. There is hip replacement surgery, but that isn't recommended at this point. 'My therapy is progressing from just stretching the muscles to now building up the muscles back. My therapist had me doing balancing exercises that I couldn't do before my cancer diagnosis. Ha!
I have sewn 16 dollies now. I have enough materials to do 12 more. It takes 16 oz. of fiberfill to stuff 6. With 16 still to be stuffed, I'll be getting more fiberfill soon.
I am hoping to go to the outdoor service at Mosaic Church for Easter. I'll be the weirdo in a mask outside, but it has been the singing that has been the biggest issue for my return. So outside, with my mask, I feel comfortable enough to attend in person. It will be just over a year and a half since I've been to a church service in person. I was going to go to a firepit gathering at Journey Church a week ago (or two?) but rain spoiled that. I am following the forecast closely. Right now, it looks good for Easter. I look forward to the remembrance of God's leading of His people out of slavery, and the Passover meal celebrated by Jesus with his disciples on Thursday; the solemn marking of the day my Savior took my place on the criminal's cross to atone for my sins and the sins of the world- all that kept me separated from my Papa God- on Friday: the day of waiting on Saturday; and a joyous celebration of the day that the Messiah, the Christ, arose from the dead, so that I could freely commune with my Papa God and purchase my place with Him when my time here is done. I have been reading through the chronological Bible, which I started on New Year's Day. I am not long finished with the Law of Moses. WHEW! I am especially thankful that I don't have to try to remember, much less follow, all those rules! I am thankful for my salvation, and every day that I can speak with or just be with my Holy Papa God! Happy Easter!
